Setup:

Asus s939 A8N - VM CSM
3800+ A64
1gb value ram corsair
6800nu vid PCI - e

Symptoms:
When I hit power button, fans and lights turn on for 1 second then turn off, no images on monitor.

What I have tried:
If you have any other ideas i'm all ears but I fear this is a faulty motherboard.

Here is exactly what I did:

Tried unplugging video card, used onboard.

Moved ram to different slots, tried different ram.

Pulled motherboard out of the case to ensure there were no shorts anywhere.

Tried different power supply.

Re-seated the heatsink.

Changed CPU.

I did all that basically in that order.

I don't know what else I can do, any ideas would help.

Thanks,
-Charlie

Makeing sure some of the wires for the power button weren't backwards on the board? I forget what they're called, where you plug in the hard drive LED's the power button, reset button, etc...
SAME exact problem I had a while back when the quick start paper and the actual mobo manual said 2 different things. Reversed the plug on the board (was PWR SW) and booted right up.
Try it, cant hurt at this point :)

I thought of that. I even tried jumpers from another motherboard (kinda like using the screwdriver trick) and the fans still wont spin.

As far as warranty, I have had it for 5 days NIB from a user here on Anand, so even if it is 1 year it should still be covered. Right now i'm trying to figure out if I need original receipts and such.

Just ordered a new motherboard, i'm gonna sell the RMA if I even get one. Chose the Epox 9NPA Ultra.
