No.

IMO, the best way to move up is to inquire what others "above" you have and see what certs they have.

Problem is, I never see those people at work. They are locked in a room on another floor, that my badge doesn't work on. All desktop support types around my neck of the woods.

A+, Network+ then MCSA. A+ and net+ can be used as electives for the MCSA. If you want to get into administration, that's probably the easiest route.

Thing is, if I go to say career builder or monster and search on MCSE I get a ton more "administrator" related hits than if I search on MCSA.
