Yet another Asus A8N northbridge fan failure

I'm sending my old A8N-SLI + Opty 165 to my parents & want to make sure it's pretty reliable before they get it. I think my northbridge chipset fan is starting to die, so I want to replace it before my parents get the system. From previous posts, it looks like people can get away with passive heatsinks. Do you have any opinion on which of these would be better:

Zalman ZM-NB47J (rectangular heatsink)

or

Zalman NBF 47 (A 'fan'-shaped heatsink)

Is there anything else better for ~$10? I'd rather not spend $25-$30 on some fancy copper setup!

Thanks!

I use the ZM-NB47J on my old Nforce4 rig.

Gets a bit toasty but doesn't have any adverse effect on stability or performance.
