A handful = a whole race to you? Gotcha.

Better than the Irish, they died cause there were no potatoes to eat. I mean come on... who relies solely on one crop to feed their people?

wild&

nor did they go to such great lengths to feed people

I've heard far more of these stories out of China than Korea lately. It has more to do with people gaining more freedom to do whatever it is they like. Idiots over indulge, just like a dog that eats itself to death.

It probably has more to do with the fact that China's gaming community is as large the the entire population of the USA. Statistically these events are bound to happen occasionally. It doesn't mean that this is a widespread culture phenomenon.

China's gaming community is not larger than the entire population of the USA, but I do see your point there. I still think I'm right about that though and we'll see it start to dwindle away as their gaming culture matures.

The Internet cafes that I've been in in Asia where these guys are playing online games typically serve both food and drinks; hell, some of them have a one drink minimum. They have people who bring stuff right to you. They're often smoke-filled places, and you can buy cigs without leaving your seat.

The guy didn't starve to death.

reasonable. though MMORPGs are HUGE in China for some reason.

I don't think I could stay awake that long if I wanted to. I think he must have been on adderall or some other stimulant.
