well, here it is again. i've always liked it when people take their CD Rom and DVD drives and put them in "stealth" mode. esepcially on these nice Lian Li cases. that ugly beige color sticks out too much on these cases.

so i fixed that. check these pics out. ;)

much cleaner look now. and the best part? materials used ran me a whopping $6 :D

OOPS!
This is a little OT, but I have a PC-70 coming this week and I plan on cutting out the front bezel fan grills as well as the fan grills on the back of the case and replacing them with chrome grills. What did you use to cut them? I don't want to botch this!

I like the stealth mod. What was the $6 for?

well, i used a Dremel to cut out the two holes in the bezel. this is almost a "must have" on these cases cuz there is way TOO MUCH air flow blockage the way these things come from the factory.

just be REALLY carefull when you're cutting them out cuz the aluminum is very soft and you can easily make a big mistake if your hands arent holding your power tool securely.

also, i had to add two extra rows of the little holes on the bottom of the fan holes to make it look right. i have NO IDEA why Lian Li didnt center the fans in the two squares on the front bezel. you'd think for $250 they would have centered them. oh well..........

BTW, the $6 was for the Velcro strips that i used along with rubber "pads" to fill in the gap so i could push on the bottom right hand corner to activate the eject button on the drives.
