Yesterday I went driving

Yeah, I found out the hard way that E meant "no gas left at all" in my 78 Wagoneer. At least I was only about half a mile from the gas station.
 
My range said 0mi left and I still drove a couple more miles ok. It is based on my last 20mi of driving so it isn't 100% accurate.
 
Please read the fucking manual for your car. When it says 0 is when you should start worrying about the car stalling out. If it says 1 mile it means you have 1 mile left of gas(likely more).
