What do you mean it's 'now a possibility'? They've been working on it for awhile already, they just bought the IP rather than be licensees.

And Bethesda buying it isn't something you should be so happy about. Bethesda has absolutey no proof that they can do the series justice.

Cautiously optimistic...

Heard it is an FPS, so when it comes out, I will be comparing it to Stalker in many aspects... Hope the use it as a benchmark at least.

Interplay still exists? I thought it was the creditors licensing off the IP originally.

I guess we can expect Oblivion with guns.

It's a long way off anyway... we're probably talking 2009-2010.

Someone can probably do a better job by making a post-apocalyptic Crysis mod.

I just saw this news on gamespot a couple days ago.

I'm highly looking forward to this. Bethesda has made some awesome games, but can it bring the fallout world justice?
I sure hope so!!

If they leave the same stat building system and make in a FPS it wouldnt be bad, but if thye change the XP system to something like Oblivion itll be terrible. Most of all I would rather have a turn based game with amazing graphics but the chances of that are pretty low. For some reason people act like a slow game where you need to think isn't worth anything anymore.

They won't make it turn based combat... maybe the best we can hope for is a 'real time' turn system like KOTOR or NWN.

Yeah I know its pretty useless to hope for it, hopefully they do something like baldurs gate. I really hope they do something other than make it a FPS, I like FPS's a ton, but I don't really want it mixed with Fallout.

That is a separate game. There are two games they are talking about based on fallout.
