I am so happy, I installed OS 9.0.4 and the mkeys on my G4 450 went from 1.5 to 4.1! On top of that, my dual 800 system is coming home from the person it was loaned to, so I will gain another 4.4mkeys! And to top it all off, I got the 24" widescreen Sony monitor that was backordered for 2 months a few days ago! My ranking should shoot a couple of spots tommorow 😉.

Nice Diffusion!

Those G4s really are monsters aren't they 😉

Nice with dualy 800s too 😎

Yeah, they are, is the dnet application as smp friendly on the ppc platform as the x86? The OS isnt SMP capable (I don't use beta OSs), so I wonder if the dnet app is. If so, I have reason to convince my workplace to buy some dual G4s.

Hehe... I don't think so 🙁 At least as far as I know the DNet client needs SMP in the OS to be able to work 😱

I thought that OS-X was final now... or at least close to... maybe you should check it out... I don't really follow Mac news tho' so I could very well be mistaken 😱

Oh and please get those dualy G4s since I'm sure you'll "need" them in the future! 😉

Not final yet, it should be sometime this or next month. Dunno if I'll upgrade though, a lot of my machines are 1994-era powermacs with G3/G4 upgrades and its a pain in the rear to find new extensions for their SCSI chains, etc. It might even encourage me to go buy a new mac.
