FUSE and Palladia are both quality choices for music channels on DishNetwork. Couldn't care less what MTV does or does not put on... they have become completely irrelevant.

Palladia (formerly MHD) is a joint venture between Viacom music networks. It is backed by VH1, CMT and MTV.

That said, the fact that they actually play music makes them tolerable. Not as good as RAVE was IMO, but they're alright.

MTV makes me want to puke and shit at the same time. I remember when MTV2 came out and played music videos all day, then MTVs cancer eventually spread and consumed that channel too.

If you're going to make an entire channel about slutty alcoholic 20-something bitches and shaved man-apes partying, you had better at least stop blurring out the tits if you want to keep anyone watching it.

There is hope in our youth if this dump of a network is seeing such large declines in viewership. Of course it worries me about my generation that we propped it up for so long!

Except we watched it for the actual music videos!!!

I think they really should try the bold and risky move of showing music videos again. My twelve year old daughter watches music videos on YouTube all the time.
She doesn't watch MTV at all. I don't even know if she knows what the "M" in "MTV" stands for--I should ask.

But does she know whatthe "E" in "ESPN" stands for? (Or any of the other letters, for that matter?)

Rap killed MTV. They should have started a whole different channel for that junk. I remember when MTV was actually enjoyable to watch.

I think there is one, but I cannot stand to keep it one for long enough to figure out what they call it.

I remember the downfall, as when they removed Headbangers ball, and replaced it with "yo, mtv raps". That was the last I watched it (MANY years ago).

I honestly think the downfall came when "The Real World" debuted. They got a nice viewership from it and set the stage for the elimination of music video's on music television.

By the end of the 1990's there wasnt much left of watching video's.

Nah, she doesn't give a rat's ass about sports. But she likes watching music videos
I did ask her, BTW. She said "Mad?"
Then I explained that they used to show videos.

this is like when Hyundai decided to make reputable vehicles again such as the Sonata (which beat Camry & Accord recently)... they should've re-done their logo, giving them a new perceived identity. MTV needs a name change at the very least.

I think she looks good in a flower-child sort of way. Give her a nice haircut and some makeup and she'll look fabulous.
