Behavioral Management (3 credits): A-
Planing and Instruction (3 credits): B
Reading to children w/ special needs (3 credits): B
Junior Practicum (4 credits): A-

Major: Teacher of the Handicapped (106 credits accumulated)
GPA: 3.23

And I'm working 40 hour weeks doing midnight security on the grave yard shift (12am-8am).

I don't have much of a life, but only 2 more semesters until graduation. I keep telling myself it's going to be so worth it in the end.

So how did everyone else do?

:D

God damn man. 40 hours working and you pulled that off? Last year, I worked full time at a bank (50 hours a week) and took 2 night classes. And the best I could pull off was a B and a C. This semester I got:
ACCT-112: B
ACCT-114 A
ENGL-207 B
CMSY-129 B

Major: Accounting

Nice job man!

My 1.75 pwns your 3.23.

I take it that this was a typo and you meant your 3.75, correct? Otherwise, wtf happend?

Oh, I have a 1.67 GPA, I received two Cs instead of the two Bs I thought I was going to receive. Reason I got two Cs were because of my participation and attendance were low.

Thanks guys... :D

Working midnights and going to college is hard work. Hell, I would end work at 8am only to have to attend classes all day. I was so exhausted at the end of the day. Also, the traveling is what really kills me. From where I live it takes me 1hr and 30 minutes to get to my college. And that's one way. I must of spent $120 a month on gas.

I like the fact that I can do homework and study for exams when I'm working, but my social life suffers. Actually I don't have a social life. I keep telling myself that when I do graduate I'll be doing what I've always wanted to do. And that is to work with children who are classified as special ed students. It's such a rewarding experience.

Well only 2 semesters left until graduation!

I can't wait.

Congratulations! Working graveyard and going to school has to be a hard schedule to keep. Special education is not an easy profession, but I am glad there are individuals like yourself who are willing (and wanting) to take the responsibility.

Oh, and my grades:

Spanish Composition: A
History of Mathematics: A-
Euclidean and non-Euclidean Geometries: A-
Multicultural Education: B+

CFML/JSP: A
Theoric computing (the best translation I can come up with): A-

Best semester evar for me. Gave me 4.075 / 4.3. My overall GPA was bumped to 3.26... I wish I had not had a 2.25 semester in second year.

I could never do that with a job though, I'm not lazy but I like to have my spare time.

Not bad, but not terribly impressive for only taking 4 courses this term. I'll pass on mentioning my cumulative GPA. :p

It is worth it. You can slack off like never before after graduation! That is, until you need more money. :D

Took me long enough to get them. You can only access online grades on-campus (locally), so I had to get VPN working on a computer here so I can access them real quick.

Waves & Optics: A+
Matrix Analysis: A+
Analysis I (Intro. to Real Analysis): A+
Physics Laboratory II: A
Revolutionary Islam: A

Keeps me GPA at 4.11 (we get a 4.33 for an A+), putting my physics major GPA at 4.10 and my applied math major GPA at 4.25. Of course, my grades were higher this semester 'cause I took a relatively light load (13 hours) working in a nanophysics lab 10 hours a week. Next semester will be rougher: same work, 6 courses (18 hours), which seems to be about average among my friends.

2.5 more years, 2.5 more years...

Addendum: Congrats, tec. That's definitely a tough schedule to keep up. I applaud your effort and dedication...it will most certainly be worth it in the end.

I just bagged a 3.75GPA for the semester, working 40+ hours per week and I'm an Army Reservist to boot! Booyah! Anyone that says it's hard to work full time and get good grades in school just isn't working hard enough. This coming semester I'm taking 15+ credit hours and still working full time too.

Oh yeah, and I'm 27 years old going back to school for the first time since High School graduation.

Thbbppt...Duke? My friend here transferred from there. Anyway, I'm a second year at Rice. I'm enjoying the physics major, moreso for the work I do in the nanophysics lab than for actual classwork, but I haven't really hit and of the advanced solid-state physics or quantum yet. And I'm sure I'll enjoy the graduate physics courses I'll probably take senior year more as well. Anyway, since my other major is applied mathematics, and since I also tend to enjoy that as much or moreso (depending on the courses), I may pursue that in academia instead of physics, but I'll probably stick with the physics major anyway.

How're you liking Duke? I always ask people at colleges that I turned down just for curiosity's sake...

duke is cool, but i want to take more classes. THe norm here is 4, maybe 5 but i'd like to take a few more. Overall, duke is cool, and i live pretty close (like 20 min away). Duke is kinda boring though, not too much to do...

Major congrats on the grades with that schedule.

I worked at FedEx overnight (world hub here; 2° of seperation in Memphis when it comes to FedEx employees) 4 years ago starting in late summer/early fall. I happened to be working there when starting my Freshman year in college. Needless to say, I totally flunked all classes except one - Basic Computing ;)

Thankfully I was only at that job for 2 months, when my g/f (now my wife :D) hooked me up with a job at a call center, but getting used to a normal sleep schedule after only 2 months of the graveyard shift was the hard part.
