OK here is my story,
I sleeved my PSU, and when I put on the new molex plugs I reversed the red and yellow (only on 1 plug.) This plug went into my NEC 3520 DVD, now no worky worky.
I am at work so I can not try it in another comp.
I was just curious if anyone knows if this is recoverable.
Is it toast? or do I have a chance.

I am a big believer in cut twice, measure once.😕

Burner go poof im thinking. Sucks much, I got that same burner and love it. Can you get it replaced?

I don't think this is the kind of situation that you should try to return something. It's clearly not the fault of anyone but the OP.

Still sorry to hear it happened though. You'll never do it again though I'll bet. It's good it wasn't a $200 hard drive though, or a $500 videocard 🙂

Yea your right, I wouldn't put this on NEC. It would just raise the prices for all of us.

I tested it in another comp, and yes I let the magic smoke out.
So, if you didn't know all ready, don't do what I did😀

Does anyone know where I can buy bags of magic smoke😉
