Arnold Schwarzenegger owns his own tank. Because of course he would.

If any private citizen was going to possess their own tank, obviously it would be Arnold Schwarzenegger. But it’s not just for joy rides and smashing cars – though he did drive me around on it, and he did roll over and flatten an old clunker with it. It’s a tank that does have personal meaning to him, and he uses it for an altruistic purpose.

The tank in question in an M47 Patton. Produced between 1951 and 1953, the 50-ton behemoths are still in service across the globe 60 years later. And Schwarzenegger told me and an assembled group of around 15 journalists on Friday that this was “exactly the very tank that I drove in the Austrian Army when I was 18 years old.”

Yup, and the M-47 has a coaxial .50 cal machine gun.

You can see it pointing out slightly above the main gun.

I have always wanted a tank. Just the thing for the pesky traffic jams I sometimes encounter. As I also endorse having the main tank gun being rear ward facing. Its the exact answer to the cop who tries to pull you over from behind. When they put the red flashing lights on you, they are so much easier to see.

Sadly I am too poor to own a tank. But I recently read there is some town in Minnesota that will let you rent a tank. And if you pay 10G's of so, you too can have the thrill of crushing a house trailer.

As for me, I am saving up my pennies nickels and dimes.

There don't seem to be any big action heros now. The best I can think of is jason stratum, the rock, mark whalberg, and really we're stretching with Marky Mark.

Arnold and Stallon back in their day were unstoppable action stars the likes of which we just don't have now.

I'm glad arnold is back in the game, and stallone is still very convincing despite being old as shit. The guy is obviously on absolutely insane amounts of drugs but works out like a maniac also, so even at the old age of about 180 years old he's still beefy and ripped. One day he'll just have a massive heart attack and that will be that.

The Oakley sunglass factory in Orange County has a working tank and a "mountain crawl" track that you can drive it on next to the factory. I guess they used to let employees of the month take it for a lap but that has been since stopped.
