Just got finished cleaning mine. Man it was full of dust I had to pull all the wires cables and drives just to get it all, there were clumps everywhere. My heatsink fan was looking like one giant dust ball I had to vaccum it of and then use a knife to slide in between the metal ribs or whatever you call them! I just used a vaccum for the job I am way to worried to use a air compressor because of moisture! I also found out why my floppy drive was not working, my son must have stuck a penny or something in there! I guess thats what happens when you are in the middle of remodling your house! anyone else check inside there case lately?

I use compressed air (in the cans, not from an air compressor, though I'd do that if I had one) on mine every now and then before it gets too bad. Air coming out of them is plenty dry. Only downside is they're kinda pricey imo, but heck, they're handy. Nice thing is they have enough pressure in a pinpoint area that you can get a heatsink nice and clean without disassembly. Sure beats my old toothbrush method

Me thinks your so wrong I would not even enter that silly forum!😉

I really go through those cans of air. Where do you buy an air compressor, and how much are they?

yep, my system has been acting a little funny (more lockups than usual), so I took off my cpu fan and there were a lot of dust bunnies in the heatsink! I've been running it for a year now.

So, I took a hurricane blower bulb from my camera lens cleaning kit and blew all that crap out of there and cleaned the case fans too.

I'm running a whole 5 degrees cooler now! 😀

I guess I'll do that every few months now...
