Doing dishes and didn't quite realize how far to the left I had the faucet handle. Don't think I'll be letting that one happen again.

Well, on the plus side all those icky little bacterial that were clinging to the plate are now deceased...but they took the outer layer of my epidermis with 'em :(

Actually, it's unlikely that your tap water is hot enough to kill bacteria. Boiling is considered the minimum to safely assume death to all the little buggers.

However....

Some tap water can be REALLY FRIGGIN HOT! Like ours. Turn it on & let it run for a minute, & you can almost make tea. Does nasty things to your hands, though.

Well, if the hot water didn't get 'em, then the anti-bacterial dish soap probably did the trick :p
