Yeeeeee-haaaaaaa! Tea Party has good 'ole time at the White House

Veterans groups came to Washington to protest the closing of Veterans memorials. Their peaceful apolitical protest was taken over by Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin and the Tea Party. The organizers of the protest issued this statement...
The political agenda put forth by a local organizer in Washington DC was not in alignment with our message. We feel disheartened that some would seek to hijack the narrative for political gain. The core principle is about all Americans honoring Veterans in a peaceful and apolitical manner.

The Tea Party gave speeches (highlighted in another thread). They picked up the barricades moved to the White House.
The protest and some of the barricades placed at the World War II Memorial then moved to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. And it was there that Ashmore waved his Confederate flag. A symbol of Southern resistance and white supremacy unfurled in front of the home of the first black president of the United States. As Jeffrey Goldberg of Bloomberg View and the Atlantic correctly said on Twitter yesterday, “In many parts of America, waving a Confederate flag outside the home of a black family would be considered a very hostile act.”

So anticipating the lone nut defense I have a few questions.

1. Does not the action of the lone nut match the rhetoric of Cruz, Klayman, Pailin, et-al? Therefore the Tea Party is implicitly supporting his actions.

2. What is the policy this guy disagreeing with/disputing? Tea Party bitches about being called racist for disagreeing with the President. I guess this guy can cite the policy the display represents.

3. If Tea Party claims ignorance about this guys actions, its all over the news now. Have any Tea Party leadership repudiated this guy and actions like this?

4. So what is he really trying to say?

BTW - Did anyone inform this Rhodes scholar those two flags were on opposite sides during the civil war?

And later in the day we will find out this guy is some liberal nutjob trying to make a political statement.

No, that guy is pure inbred redneck southerner racist. Anybody can tell that instantly by looking at him.

I will laugh when it's determined he's from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or New York versus a southern state. Or better yet from Wisconsin.

Another troll and run by the resident troll homer. What a sad life you must live to be bothered by this.

I didn't know one guy represents the entire Tea Party and is there any evidence that he was a liberal?

Was homer ever teabagged? It could explain his idiotic dislike of the Tea Party.

Yep, bet the guy in the pic is a total fake.

Lets go look at the OWS pics, shall we? How many police cars were shat on? How many rapes were there? How many convenience stores were mobbed with rabble-rousers demanding free food?

Oh, wait, we can't judge libs by the behavior of the OWSers.

and the members of the OWS caucus are??? Oh that's right.

and I guess those speeches earlier were just to be ignored?

What we need is a Dem version of the Tea Party so the conservatives can point to them and say "Well, they're just as bad, so THERE (you go)!"

What gets me to LOL about demonstrations like this where the Tea Party simply crashes into events that they can exploit is how stark raving mad they appear to be when they let loose their anger and tirades against Obama and the purported horrific changes that he will unleash upon the nation.

Why can't these lunatics realize that the more they expose what their true feelings are, the more they expose themselves as being plainly and embarrassingly out of touch with reality?

It's despicable that those who would prey upon the unjustified fears of others would do it without hesitation for personal gain and power. If that doesn't paint a picture of what Satanism is, then the stench that emanates from these folks must surely smell like it does.

Not everybody who flies a confederate flag is a racist.

That's like saying if you own Washington Redskins apparel you are racist.

They mean a lot of things, some of those things are racist, but that isn't what it solely represents.

Yet another typical liberal circle jerk where the sight of a confederate flag immediately brings cries of racism. There can't be any other explanation for it in your minds. Ignorance is such bliss with you people.

Those things were all done by conservative fakes :awe:

The issue is the OUTRAGE over one guy. Then paint every other veteran, every attendee at the rally with the same broad brush. It's ridiculous and it's childish.

But the person that brought it up and days after it occurred, is exactly the person I would have suspected. If you want to jump on his bandwagon, I know there's plenty of room. You're judged by the company you keep.

Why does a Canadian care about the Tea Party?

I've seen confederate flags in MA before, but only in the backwoods redneck GOP voting portions of the state. Not sure what your point is. There are even confederate flag wavers in Canada (again, in uneducated backwoods portions of the provinces).

I don't see why conservatives are up in arms about 'liberal plants', i thought they were proud of their confederate past. Oh that's right, it's because they want to keep their racism on the DL.
