Okay guys...I was looking for a good laptop... and found a seller who was open to best offers..

I offered him an amount and now he has accepted the deal. I just found out that he has no return policy.

Is this something that I need to be worried about?? Willpaypal help me in case something is wrong with the product??

" I just found out that he has no return policy. "

Does this mean he has no policy?

Or does this mean he does not accept returns?

I dont see anything written about return policy...I have asked him the question... but worst case, let us assume that he does not accept returns.. then what?

Sell it in that case, unless it it's DOA. THen take it up with eBay. THe guy has a lot of feedback, so I would trust him.

Give us a link to the auction...but from the sound of it...i would recommend to stay away.

edit: Also, with today's hot deals (esp. with Dell), there shouldn't be any reason to look on ebay for a laptop. Unless it's like an IBM authorized seller that I've seen on ATHD before.

That doesn't make sense

anyway,

If he says *no return policy*, and something is wrong with it, you can't return it.

Yet Enother Abay Thread

Could possibly be a hijacked account. Might want to email Ebay and ask them to check to make sure. They'll do it. Of course they might also get mad if you tell them he's selling outside ebay so don't mention that part.

This is ebay, not a retail store. If the product arrives working, and working as he advertised it, he doesn't have to take it back ever. Something goes wrong with it a week or two later, it's not his problem. He could be nice and help you with it, but no reason he'd have to.

I bought a used laptop off of someone here, no guarantee on it other than it was working, and I've had no problem with it other than what I caused myself 🙂...I'd highly recommend dealing with someone here (like MX2Times) rather than some random person on ebay.

i totally agree, i've done several transactions on ebay. yet only a few on these fs/ft forums. however every experience on the ft/ft forums has exceeded my ebay experiences, so i would definetely buy from a member with refs here if at all possible.
