I had the same doubts with the S4 but it doesn't feel nose heavy at all and most impotently, it feels SOLID.

As far as this car, who cares about how it handles, its a highway cruiser, no more.

I hate all these "omg this doesn't handle good enough for me" posts. Please STFU unless you track your car on a regular basis, otherwise, enjoy your "spirited" backroad driving, until you hit some little kid on a bike or someone pulling out of their driveway.

The cars you buy for handling are Lotus', Porsche GT3's, etc, etc, not an Audi RS6 family sedan. The RS6 handles plenty good for what it's meant to do,be driven on public roads and highways; its got the right rubber and the AWD. Call me when you buy an RS6 to track it.

S4 = Apple
RS6 = Orange

Yeah that's crazy. If I went back in time 10 years (1998), and told myself that Cadillac was going to outdo the M-series and be right in BMW/Merc/Audi's face, I would have probably laughed my ass off. Just so unlikely. But look at 'em go! Credit where credit is due.

On the Audi topic, did anyone notice what an Audi commercial 'Iron Man' was? Loads of Audis in that film, including the SUV full of mom+kids that Obidiah tosses on Iron Man at the end, and of course the nifty R8 seeing tons of screen time.

and did you notice that transformers featured lots of GM vehicles? or how about the BMW 7 in transporter1 and the Audi A8, A3, and lambo in transporter2? :laugh:

^^ Yeah, as a car guy, I find it entertaining just how much of a giant advertisement movies can be for certain vehicles. I think 'Back to the Future' was probably the best car ad ever, too bad the car was so rare, I'm sure they would have sold gobs of them had they been more widely produced.

Well yeah the car wasn't very fast, but most of the 80's cars were dogs stock. Even most of the Vettes were ~200hp or so, the Mustang and Camaro even less. As for crap, I think only Honda/Toyota were making vehicles in the 80's that didn't fall apart after 100k miles, domestic trucks notwithstanding. Taurus/Escort/Cadavalier/etc were all pretty much junk until Detroit started slowly turning things around (and the Japanese started slipping). Audi was *awful* in the 80's. Mercedes was pretty good though, particularly those diesels that were just tanks. I still see the 'oil sheik' S-class from the 80's pretty often, puttering on at probably 300k+ miles by now.

Oh, and it looks exactly like every other Audi on the planet...boring. :thumbsdown:

Exactly, although I think the R8, A5/S5 are pretty stylish. Give me this motor in an RS5 package and we might be talking! Oh, and trim a few hundred (or even a thousand, lol) pounds and we might be talking. This makes the mammoth GT-R look like a featherweight.

The RS5 should be a twin-turbo V8 making around 450bhp.

Color me excited. 😀

(soz about the thread bump)

The *5 Audis, and the RS8 are quite striking. Other than that, they are what seems to be almost purposefully boring to look at.

not much different from BMW. mercs are quite distinctive, though.

That's pretty much true. I guess it's just down to which brand of bland you prefer 😉

Its a photoshopped RS6. It actually looks better (more aggressive) that the real life RS6. It looks too much like droopy --> RS6

The S4 looks a good bit different (or at least I can pick out many differences) S4

A lot of European cars are hard to distinguish since their styling is so similar. I remember people saying on here how hard it is to tell the difference between the Aston Martin and Porsche models. Along with that you have BMW, which is just as indistinguishable as a lot of the Audi models. To some extent Mercedes-Benz is the same way but I hate how they name their models more then anything else.
