Did you know you can calculate the air temperature, accurate to within like 4 degrees F, by the frequency of a crickets.. cricket? lol

Some people...

Hey man, I have a right to call her a bitch. All of my brother's other girlfriends say 'hi' to me whereas this one won't even glance at me. Actually, she won't say 'hi' to anyone of my family members. Sh!t, she won't even pet our fscking dogs.

You can always tell when somebody has no actual support for their arguement, cause they just change the subject and talk about things that have nothing to do with their original statement.

But isn't it easier to go to weather.com instead of figuring out the frequency of a cricket's chirp?

Not if you have expensive test equipment. And thats far more fun.
Does anyone have a link to the crickets cricketing frequency to air tempature chart?

But.. But.. Assuming you're in the odd situation where you can't use the web - would you really have all the equipment handy to analyze a cricket yet not have a simple thermostat?

That's not a stick, that's a telephone pole...

More like frustration at the morons that frequent this site. Don't worry that is going to change soon.... and the morons can have AT. But hey, if you like to fantasize about wooden object in my ass go ahead.

If my sister and her friends ever got high back in the day I'd throw a party to celebrate the fact that she's not as uptight as I thought.. Relax, go out there, introduce yourself and laugh along with them and their silly ways.. Life is too short to be so anal..

You seem to forget the people who frequent ATOT. Its probably a safe assumption most people on here would have the expensive equipment...But no thermostat..... :D

You don't need expensive equipment, lol.. it's just a simple equation.

Count the number of times the cricket chirps in a minute. Add 40, divide by 4 = temp in F.

It's pretty accurate. I second it. (if the formula is true. I forget what it is, but seems right enough)
