How fair are you to ask what you yourself have never had to deliver? Let's have the world follow you around for half a lifetime insulting you and see how you do controlling your rage. You may be able to give better instructions on how to manage yourself constructively as advise to others.

Yeah, I think this sounds fantastic.

I'm sure every single one of us fits into some sort of protected class - race, religion, sexuality, etc. - and at one point have been the subject to cruelty by others. Atheists should get to punch theists, gays should get to punch straights, and tranvestites should get to kill anyone they want.

I'm sorry but blacks are not the only ones who have been repressed and there is no excuse for this racism.

Maybe it can be a sliding scale. We can go back to the Native Americans who can do ANYTHING they want...

White people are never exposed to racial stereotyping? People assume because I'm white that my ancestors had something to do with slavery and I some how owe black people because of it, yet my ancestors were from Eastern Europe and Russia. They were poor and didn't come here until the early 1900s. But I have white skin so I must have had something to do with oppressing other races.

What? This is usually the case with domestic violence (to protect women who refuse to press charges on the husband), but not regular assault. They need you to press the charges to know you will testify.

Otherwise it is mutual combat.

Sometimes in bar fights they will come in and arrest those who fought for something else, like drunk in public, disorderly conduct, etc...because they cant get you for A&B when noone will press charges.

I think the 'victim' needs to file charges, unless it's a domestic abuse case or the police actually see the fight.

Anyway, that's a matter of state law and will vary. I.e., what hapens in my state (NC) won't necessarily be the same way it happens in NY.

Nothing missing huh? Really? How many men can punch a woman in the face and be released without bail? A black dude punching a white woman at that. The article states they had been going at weeks prior. So who was talking trash on who? And what did she say to make him push her in the first place? He should have kept his hands to himself and walked away. Another thing, the guy is nicknamed Mac at the bar, so obviously he goes there a lot. But yet the woman is only nice person is this clash, despite the fact this had been an ongoing saga.
