Okay, this link is the transcript of an address by Ed Larson to a Pew Forum on religion and public life. The transcript is LONG, but it does a couple of interesting things that many of you from both sides of the evolution/ID debate will appreciate.

1) it provides a historical account of the social and political forces at play in the evolution ID debate.

2) it provides a legal history of the country as applied to evolution/ID/religion vis a vis the first admendment.

3) its thoughtful and calm.

cheers!

enjoy

There is no contraversy, and there is no legitemate scientific debate. The "debate" was settled at the beginning of the last century. It is an embarassment to this country that this is still an issue at all.
