Sweet. How much?

The unit was free with one year or service. Since it was my second unit, it was $103.99 (including tax, shipping and handling, and the $10 activation fee).

How do you like that JVC model?

That one isn't portable like an mp3 player is it?

No, the only unit fully portable at the moment is the XM Myfi. The closest thing you'll get from Sirius right now is the XACT, but the XACT powerpod while portable, wont exactly fit in your pocket.

Word is that there should be a fully portable pocketable Sirius unit in Q1 2005....

They do make a boombox and homekit for the JVC, but im in my car 99% of the time so i dont really need em.

The unit coming out from Sirius will have, "ipod capability," according to the sirius rep, which means it will function as a mp3 player as well.

Thanks for the info. I hate that XACT one. It's too big.

I'll keep an eye out for the new portable one. I mainly want it because I'd like to listen to it at home, in my car or wherever else I may roam and not have to pay for 2 subscriptions.

Nice job. Had a friend of mine install mine. Had to buy an Audiovox PNP2 off ebay as mine had its connector for the antenna break off (little metal part) and all of my accessories are for the PNP2. Unfortunately nobody is selling that model anymore since they came out with the PNP3, bleh. Oh well I'll have my tunes back soon enough.
