Actually, I read it yesterday, but that fact is lost among the WTF factor of the story. They might as well pay, just to make it worse! But reading it again, they will sometimes pay his expenses so he can go to them. So I will stay in my WTF state.

Agreed on the age. I didn't say that because I thought it was assumed they would be mostly or entirely women in their late 30s or early 40s. If a woman is 26 then she should hold out hope that she'll meet a family minded man. But if you're 37 and really want a baby...well, the baby making service suddenly doesn't sound quite so crazy anymore.

Umm, no. Now, a lot of older couples DO have trouble, but that generally has more to do with the eggs than the sperm. Female fertility really starts to fall off a cliff around the mid-30s.
