8 hours, i got out 1 hour early in the AM and 2 hours early in the PM.

It was not too bad, lots of stuff but if you've had most of your classes already it should be fine.

I heard only 10% of industrial engies go for the PE

If you plan on taking the PE exam, then do it as soon as you can. I took the Civil PE exam last October. I could have taken it 2 years ago, but being the lazy bastard I am, I never had time to go through the application process. I passed the exam, but it would have been easier if I would have taken it while the stuff I learned in school was still fresh in my mind.

PE is equally important for electrical and mechanical engineers who work in consulting.

I am currently an electrical E.I.T. and I'm encouraged to become a PE as soon as I can. (eligible for test in spring '07)

Not true....if you've passed the FE exam and do engineering work, then you have the right to list your title as engineer. You just can't tout yourself as a Professional Engineer or claim to be licensed until after you've passed the PE.

And in alot of fields PE license isn't really important - I've only met two in Aerospace so far in my career. I know one of them did it mostly on a whim.
