drove it at the Lexus event... it was too fat for its own good on the track... but if you want a sweet luxury ride that at least looks the part, this is it.

the back is fat and ponderous looking, and the electonic nanny makes sure that the only thing sport you can ever do it in is wear a jogging suit.

Uhh, isn't that the whole point? Since when have the 5-Series, E-Class, GS, S-Type, etc been track cars (save for high performance variants)?

Uhh, if that was the WHOLE point, they wouldn't have put a phatty engine into it. I only mentioned "the track" because that's where I was.

Sometimes I surprise myself how easily and quickly I can get up to 80-90 just to pass other cars/trucks on the freeway. :DOh, I own the previous gen GS400.

I kind of wonder that too, but personally I like the look of the wood. Well, too much wood definitly kills to look though. Interiors accented with brushed aluminum looks quite classy too.

the 5 at least has great driving dynamics and the electronic nanny doesn't bring your car to a standstill in the middle of a hairpin.

The GS430 is a nice car but too boring for my taste. I test drove the GS400 before deciding on a BMW E39 540I 6 speed.

Yeah I definitely like the exterior. Seems to be a bit slicker version of a maxima body with an elongated front end. Again though, hot hot car :D
