My 97 Legacy GT Wagon has always had a noticeable hesitation accelerating, so last week I took the throttle position sensor out to test it with my multimeter. Tested okay, but when I put it back in I got a Check Engine Light, the car ran like ******, and in Drive it shifted 3000-3500RPM regardless of throttle input.
Well I took it up to Marlin's place and the CEL was for the TPS. Ordered a new one, $82 shipped, and it finally got here today. I pulled the battery to clear the CEL, installed the new one, and cranked it up. Still a CEL
Seemed to run smoother, but same problems and CEL.

Marlin graciously invited me up again to check it with his scanner and it was the same problem, but at least the TPS was reading better than it was last time. I didn't even realize you could adjust the TPS so after a few minutes of adjustment, it was running fine

Now she's running well and the throttle is perfectly responsive, way better than when I got it! Thanks Marlin!!!!!!!

Oh, and obligatory :camera:
