Yay, I got a big scholarship!

I was just awarded a full 4-year scholarship, less room and board, to any Massachusetts state school.

I'm not elated about going to school so close to home, but it won't stop me from using this scholarship.

Cool.

Thing is, it's either a community college, any of a few other colleges, or UMASS.

I don't want to go to any of these schools, and it's all way too close to home.

Let me get this straight, you are bitching about getting a free ride to a State University because it's so close to your home?

I offer this as proof that 80% of scholarships are offered to kids that don't need/appreciate them.

i am sure someone else would appreciate this scholarship. why dont you call them and tell them your a dumba$$ and then tell them to give this scholarship to someone who will actually appreciate it and not whine like a b!tch.

Stop bashing on him! Just because he thinks that being further away from family is cooler than receiving an education that some can't even afford without putting themselves in debt, doesn't mean he's not a human being. 😱

I didn't think Mass. was that big of a state anyway...

I second the idea that if you don't want the G.D. scholarship, notify them that you won't accept it. Sure, you may you have a 4.5 GPA and a 1500 SAT, but you really need some common sense.

I guess you all missed the touch of sarcasm.
Maybe your post is proof that satire, sarcasm and dry wit are best left to the English...

With the proven intelligence of the members on this board, and history of moronic views and opinions, why would we think you are being sarcastic when you gave no clues that you were being sarcastic? 😕

what does intelligence have to do with detecting sarcasm where there are no clues?

i assumed he was just too stupid to be sarcastic, doesn't that hold just as true as the assumption in your post?

😕

No no no, my post is confusing. I wasn't saying the people here aren't intelligent enough to detect sarcasm. What i was i trying to say is that people her post some pretty stupid sh!t and it's pretty easy to believe that someone would be really pissed off about being offered a scholarship to only a few schools.
