Well, how is this good news?

One of the major reasons the Touchpad was worth it in the first place just went poof...

I just noticed it's not working for me any more this morning :( This makes me a sad panda. Oh well, at least I can still watch HBO Go in the web browser.

Not working for me either.

No hulu, no netflix, youtube streaming is really sluggish and full screen forces the screen to flip upside down, not many useful apps.

Oh well, at least it wasn't $500.

Patch and overclock. Youtube streaming at 480p works fine, hulu at 480p worked fine. It's not really upside down so much as locked to a particular orientation, which does not make sense. And yeah, glad it wasn't $500. :D

Yeah, I'm in the process of tweaking it for this reason. I've only updated it so far, but will do the rest of the tweaks tonight. Glad to hear it does improve performance though.

Yeah, the locking so you have the speakers facing you and the orientation upside down is kinda weird, especially when you are trying to adjust the volume and it is reversed lol.

[edit]Yup, overclocking it and adding some of those homebrew patches has definitely improved the performance. It's nice to see a decent open source community for webos, I just hope the programmers stick around even though no new devices will be popping up for it.

Hulu videos play fine. I was worried because some had said Hulu video performance was choppy and unacceptable. Not true.

OC'd mine to 1.5 after the patch and tried out the Hulu fix and it works flawlessly. Watched Family Guy last night at 480p with little to no slowdowns.

It was for me the first night I had it, but it's because I hadn't patched or oc'd it I think. Also, it was the day before they disabled hulu on the TP, so maybe Hulu was messing around with things on their end.

It plays fine now, sometimes the video and audio gets off sync, but for the most part it's fine. I just think it's awkward how it forces any full screen video to one position, basically the speakers are facing you and the volume control is upside down, which makes the controls reversed. I bought an HP case though, and it is positioned the same way, so I think HP meant for it to sit that way. Strange.

Yeah, you can fix it in like 2 seconds, especially if you already have the webOS Quick Install set up.
