Well, last year I got my first cell phone ever.

It was a Motorola T720 from Cingular.
I have to say, I was very happy with that phone. I was on a GSM network, and I never had any dropped calls, and I rarely had any bad reception. The worst was during that 2 day black-out. I paid $30.00 a month for Local 300 anytime, and ULTD N&W, plus $3 extra for 100 txt per/mo.

Rest in Peace T720, because tomarrow, my new cell arrives.

Since my dad works with GM, he gets a Nextel discount, so I ended up getting a Motorola i730. I thought about getting the new i830, but that was still really expensive with the discount. Besides, it's only a year contract. I'm sure Nextel will have something better next year for me.

Anywho, its like $34.00/mo for National 500 anytime, ULTD N&W, and 100 Direct Connect.

I also bought a data cable and got some bitchin' ringtones. (Which I can put up if anyone wants some? 🙂)

So yeah, I'm excited! 😀

Some may get the vibe that I'm one of those people who are really obnoxious with their mobile since I'm so excited, but don't worry, I'm not! I won't talk and drive, and I won't be one of those people who will have a D.C. conversation in front of everyone. I find that beep thing kinda annoying anyways. Besides, I think one can D.C. without a speakerphone too..... I think?

i don't really understand the concept of direct connect -- is it like a walkie talkie? and if so, are those 100 minutes billed by the second?

yes its like a walkie talkie, and its the most annoying thing ever

and im still on my first cdell phone, i will be for a whole nother year till my 2 year deal is up

thats over 2 a year
do you break alot of them?

i still have the same one i had a year ago, and like i said above will have it for another year

my moms cellphone has to be at least 4 years old, and teh only reason my dad got a newer one is because teh battery on his old one died and he couldent get a replacement so he had to get a new phone, he was actually pissed about that
 
I hate nextel, and that stupid walkie talkie crap. Every time I see someone using it I feel like ripping the phone out of their hand and throwing it in traffic.

Oh, and my Nokia 3200 > all 🙂
