YAWT... sorta: Good workout headphones?

I'm looking that the Sony MDR-A350 Foldable Headphones... anything else I should consider?

I hate when I'm listening to music and my foam pads start to get soogy and disgusting. But I kinda feel uncomfortable with hard earphones.

I bought the really cheap Sony h.ear ear clips. Predictably bad sound, but when I'm working out, I just want something lightweight that won't fall. I don't care about sound quality as long as the music blocks out outside noise and helps keep me focused.

Koss? Koss or the KSC 35

very good recommendation.

i had these. while they are ridiculously awesome sounding they are SO fragile. extremely fragile. i'd only get them if you think you can handle them carefully or can buy more if you break one

wait, is everyone talking about the cheese ones or the ksc 35? 😀

the 35 are a good set, but yeah, they do seem a bit fragile. perhaps the ksc 50 would be better for sports (similar sound to the 35).

Hmm, those Kosses seem kinda fragile... I sweat like Niagara when I'm doing cardio. Earbuds kinda bother me... but it seems there's not much alternative.

Sennheiser MX500 earbuds

cheap with great sound. i would recommend going to radio shack and spending $1.99 on some foam pad replacements. the stock foamies tend to fall off easily. the radio shack foamies will help them stay in your ears while running or jogging.

Another vote for the MX500. You won't get better without spending at least $50. One important note though - Earbuds *NEED* break in. When you go to work one day, plug them into your stereo and crank the volume as loud as you can stand WITHOUT DISTORTION. When you come back, they will sound MUCH better.

I still recommend the Sennheiser PX200s, also an alternative to earbuds are canalphones. You said you didn't like hard earbuds so they seem like a good choice. The best are called Ety's (short for Etymotics) and the model of one is called like an ER-4P or something. Anyway, they go deep into your ear and are soft, but are supposed to sound amazing! Definetly check out www.head-fi.org and post this there, you'll much better answers.

Nike PSA Flight (I think) headphones aren't too bad. They are made especially for working out.

The Sony "Sport" type headphones are OK, but when you start sweating, it breaks down the pads and they rip.

The over the ear clip ear buds aren't bad either.

Ety's are *HORRIBLE* if you sweat a lot though, unless your willing to make the investment to keep replacing the cushions. Same goes for most canal phones.
