Anyone that has had luck with Arcane Crystals have any suggestions that are not on alakzhams or thottbot? I've spent most of the day today fighting with Farmers trying to get Rich Thorium Veins, and scored one AC.
I need quite a bit more for my warrior's reaper...
 
I've seen RTVs in Alterac Valley too. If you're on a PvP server, you can stay near the Fields of Strife and mine them when they pop up. You may be fighting a few people there too though =) But they won't be traditional farmer types.

On a normal server you can't expect AV to open enough to use this to any kind of advantage. Most normal and RP servers only see AV once a week or so (if they're lucky).
