Just curious, has anyone else had issues with the latest nVidia drivers? Specifically, I will get crackling noises when certain buffs are cast (usually blessings and Power Word: Fortitude) intermittently. My system specs are listed below, which should be sufficient to run the game at higher settings. I have the res set at 1024/768, 2x Multisampling, Max viewing distance and texture detail. I'm reluctant to turn down the res as WoW looks crappy at 800x600. My thought is it shouldn't be due to the system being overtaxed, but what do I know?

I have heard that sound anomalies like this are sometimes due to faulty video drivers (I'm using 71.89). Anyone else had these problems?

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried going back to your previous version video drivers (or some other) to make certain this is the culprit? Have you checked to see if there are more recent audio drivers?

i get the sound noises when i'm alt-tabbing from different windows on WoW. it maybe because of latency issues.

I have a 6800gt and I'm not having any graphics problems using the latest drivers.

I was, however, getting a lot of slight pausing randomly when I played and I just figure out the reason behind this. My HDD was extremely fragmented, so when I defragged the drive everything is running smooth as silk again. I just realized how friggin much WoW accesses the disk drive, its crazy...

I'm getting some random clicking noises from my computer speakers and thought it was the game but when they continue after I shut the computer down I released it was something else.

Now I just have to figure out what that something else is???

Do you have a cell phone anywhere near your computer or speakers?

Thats the clicking noise then. When cell phones "sync" with the closest tower it can cause interference with speakers, and radios. Motorola Nextel phones I've noticed are the worst about it, but it happens with my Nokia T-mobile one as well, just not as much or as badly.
