Thottbot is good when you want drop tables of the various mobs in the zone, but I am looking for nice guides that have maps or locations of mini-bosses, bosses, quests, warnings, etc.

More specifically on Strath, Scholo, BRD, UBRS, LBRS...maybe even MC.

I believe atlas has a map of BRD. Not sure about the others, as they were missing the last time I checked, but that was a while back.

Have you checked the raid section of the Wow forums?

you should just run it with an experienced group. thats the best and fastest way to learn it.

If what you want to learn is the loot spots, yes. If what you want to learn is quest objectives or anything except the best loot spots, no.

from my experience and groups. people were more generally interested in the quest objective over the loot. of course people want loot drops, but it doesn't deter from questing. maybe thats just my realm (deathwing)

Or maybe you are thinking of non-raid instances...? Not many people like going to the high end instances in 5 man groups after they've completed the quest.

After you run them a few times, you'll quickly memorize everything if you pay attention. Just ask the more experienced members of the group. It only gets challenging when you start to 5 man the instances. We've gotten down to doing Drak in UBRS with 12, I'm thinking we could bring it down to 10 people.

total opposite for me. at lvl 60, no one cares about the xp, they just want their set items.

end game is about lewt.
I dont' care about finishing my [62] Hands of the Enemy quest as much as i am about getting my robes of prophecy etcetc.

i can run you through just about any end game instance/quest chain and most any expirienced group will be able to do the same. The difference is that if it's a loot run, you kill those bosses who drop loot. Fortunatley in UBRS, all the quests are along the way, but in LBRS, BRD, Srat, (even) Scholo, you'll find people will find little shortcuts to get to the boss they are interested in faster.

I finished all the quests available in all the instances long ago, and almost done with hands of the enemy, just need sulfron's hand. But i'm more interested in my Tier 1 and 2 priest epics, and Benediction then i am in finishing quests ;)

if you use Ultimate UI, it has a feature with every instace map and lists what rooms are what and where the bosses are. its a very nice UI.
