Wouldn't surprise me, Nintendo is looking like more of a contender this time around so they're getting more third-party support.

i just hope the 3rd parties are not throwing out wii titles with no wiimote support. that would lose the appeal being that the nintendo console is the least powerful next gen console (probably like gamecube 1.5 in terms of technology)

Sounds like complete speculation from a very imaginative Gamespot writer. Take Two publishes plenty of other games besides GTA.

like Rockstar presents Table Tennis! that game would be cool if you use the wiimote as the paddle!

wouldnt GTA look like crap on the Wii? Seeing as how the graphics are going to be a slight step up from gamecube? (not a fanboy)

I dont think it will ever happen... the furthest into adult Nintendo ever went was RE.. and it was tamer than the later released PS2 version..

they dont want these type of games on thier system..

but i could see tabletennis by rockstar on that system..

Yes they do. They said they do.

"The fact is there will be M-rated content on the Wii console," said Fils-Aime. "EA has already announced that they're bringing [the GTA-like crime game] The Godfather to our console. And we want every single best-selling game to be available on Wii. Whatever that content is."

They want to shed the image that Nintendo systems are just for kids.

First party games will probably continue to be as family friendly as before (which doesn't mean they aren't fun for adults), but there's nothing stopping third-party developers from developing more "mature" games.

They do that.. and do with uncut like the other systems.. and they may just win me back as a consumer..

that was my main complaint about nintendo.. the family games over the adult ones..

From what I've read, Call of Duty 3 on the Wii will be set up to use the remote.

i still think that most nintendo multiplayer games are not much fun to play by yourself than if you have some friends to play with. heres hoping they take a page from microsoft's book and get their online stuff right

It most definitely is, seen a few trailers. You aim with the remote. You can beat krauts over the head with the nunchuk by swinging it around.

There is just something intrinsically more fun and satisfying about directly aiming and bashing faces in than pressing buttons and moving sticks to do the same thing.

Honestly, if we want to talk about the link between violence and video games, I'm more worried about kids bashing each others faces in at the playground after playing the wii than sitting around on their couches pressing buttons.

Using Wiimote to bash some hooker's head in? That MAY just be enough to put that Jack Thompson asspipe into the grave once and for all!
