I have a multitouch tablet (Latitude XT) with a SSD hard drive. The hard drive is not easily removable or replaced. I head 7 has a lot of nice features for multi-touch, as well as better battery life. I'm currently running vista.

My issue is my SSD is nearly full, and 7 can't be installed to an external hard drive. So my only option is to image my current OS setup to my external and install 7 fresh. I do like to be on the cutting edge and am willing to put up with some bugs here and there (I used XP 64bit as my main OS for the longest time) but I do need at least basic amounts of reliability.

Would you do it or not?

It's a beta and your suggestion is to use it as a full-time OS, therefore no.

It would make more sense to shuffle some non-OS files off the SSD and then set up a dual-boot.
