I was a vegetarian in the '70's... Talk about hard to get respect..... I came back to red meat and vertabrates as food and gained 30 lbs.... was a skinny 6'1" 140# 20 yo.... Now if we could get back to real sugar instead of this High Fructose Corn Syrup CRAP......

I hear you. I really loathe high fructose corn syrup being used as a surrogate sugar. Do you want to know why corn syrup is used instead? Because the Federal Government heavily subsidizes sugar farmers, making sugar too expensive for domestic use (and a nice tarriff is slapped on foreign sugar)! As such, producers are forced to use high fructose corn syrup.

I just read where Mexico is sitting on like 100 million tons or some unGodly number of refined sugar and they cannot sell enough to offset foreign debt. Thus they remain a drag on the economics of the Hemisphere and we can play smack down on them......
