When you get your hair cut do you tip your stylist? I usually tip $2 to regular stylists, but the one I like to go to and does a good job usually gets $3. One time a regular person did a pos job, and she got nothing. So do you tip?

Also, Does anyone go to Sport Clips? The MVP is phenonmenal.

$1-2 dollars for an $8 haircut; depends if I'm feeling generous or if I really like my haircut.

I cut my own hair now. I tip myself big time when I do a good job, but if I mess it up, then I only give myself a $20 or $30 tip.

But back when I did go to a place, I would tip $1.50 for an $8.50 cut. Just to make it an even $10.

How much does your haircut cost???

I get at least 1-2 inches taken off every time, but my haircuts only cost $8 with a coupon (used every time). Besides, it's not like it takes any longer than any other haircut.

I usually tip $2-$3...usually $2. My sons and I usually get cuts at the same time and we go to Mastercuts. With a coupon, my cut is about $8-9. I should skp the tip, though, because they get paid normal wages, anyway....

I usually pay $20 for a $15 cut. Works out pretty well.

How the real question is, how much would you tip your stylist if she cuts your hair while eating at Quiznos and standing on a treadmill? Say she cuts off bulk hair; like 10 inches?

20 dollar cut, I give her 25 bucks.

No matter when I want my hair cut, I get the appointment. She'll come to the shop just for me.

No. I bought a clippers from Walmart. It does have a small suction though so it sucks the hair into a little compartment as you cut, but it doesn't actually move the hair.

Now that I am wearing a shorter style (#2 now, may go to a #1 on the sides soon) I pick the typical local $10 haircut place. I give them $20 total. This is about every 2 weeks.

I find my haircuts are done really well.

If I'm in a longer style I usually go to a $20-30 per cut place. I usually tip 1/2 the cut price. They end up taking more time and doing a really good job.

I have found taking care of your stylist gets your eyebrows done, neck cleaned...if they see a stray ear hair they nail it, etc.

I knew a family that never tipped (actually ex-relatives of mine)....they'd bring their 4 kids and themselves....on top of that the 'mom' would micromanage each haircut and belittle the person doing it...they always complained about them due to a section clipped to short, left too long, etc. It was disruptive to the whole place plus they were screwing the workers on short changing them. It was so bad I'd actually call on the day of my appt. to see if the 'W***ams' were coming in so I could reschedule, they would also call me to let me know if I wanted to do this :). These people also did not tip for pizza or at a Friday's because pizza was something you could just pick up at the grocery and Friday's was just fast food. I would often head back in to the place after we left to leave the tip.

I think the stylist's screwed up their haircuts on purpose.

Never. I get ripped off enough as it is paying $15 for a haircut. It's not like I get my hair styled, so why tip?
I started doing it myself. Greedy bastards.
