Yate-Loons

www.nexfan.com are having a sale on the YateLoon D12SL-12 120mm fans. If you buy 2 you get 1 free at the price of US $3.99 per fan. So 3 fans for $8 plus shipping/tax. Use COUPON CODE at the site to make shipping 5.00 flat rate! Plus if you order via paypal you get a free 80mm fan grill.

personally i have two of these fans, the orange ones, are they are uber quiet. for the money, i dont think you get better fans.

I would jump on this if I did not all-ready have 6 YL fans sitting around doing nothing. Man I love these things, they are definitly quiet and push alot of air, even when undervolted. I keep hearing that the rifle bearing will not last as long as other fans (though this is what makes it quiet) but mine are still stong after 2 years.

Good deal thanks. Saw this on the same site, maybe of interest to someone

Enermax 80mm ENLOBAL Magnetic Baraometric Bearing Fan
Retail price: $8.00
Sale Price: $7.99

Timing is perfect as I need some new 120s 🙂

Thanks

So I got 6 of these fans + screws + a grill for an 80mm fan for $21.76 shipped which works out to $3.60 per fan. Very nice deal indeed.

Sweet, I just also got the Antec 900 deal that was posted today. So new case and better fans to throw in this bad boy.

I got in on the previous 2 get 1 free Yaloon deal, these fans are top notch (quiet as wind) and at this price they are definitely a steal. I bought 6 the last time so I'm good, but thx for posting OP!

hmmm, it advertises it as a quiet case fan and most 120mm are rather quiet, but 28dB is rather loud... don't you think?

if ya want really quiet, at less airflow and higher price check these out. http://www.nexfan.com/scythe-s-flex-120mm-fan.html
Noise Level: 8.7dBA
Airflow: 33.5CFM

and these http://www.nexfan.com/scythe-s-flex-120mm-fan-medium-speed-sff21e.html
do:
Noise Level: 20.1 dBA
Airflow: 49 CFM
but again at a higher price.

These yate-loons dont seem to be rated that quiet, but for the price im sure its quiet enough.

I have used these extensively and you really can't hear them. Silent as hell, undervolts well too if you want to and hard to hear at full strengty, totally silent undervolted. 28Db is not too loud unless you are right on top of it. Placed in a solid case, and 1m away its silent. Test some for yourself 🙂

28dB? Pfft...if you sit a meter away from these things...you won't hear a thing. I have two of them mounted on the very front of the case (removed case door if you're questioning how I can hear them behind X-1 case door) and you don't see me complaining.

How are these vs the 120mm ADDA fans that come with my LianLi V1100B... would I increase airflow with these?

Edit: Hmm apparently my ADDAs are rated at 7x CFM and 34.x dB... the noise doesn't bother me hardly and I guess I'd be losing quite a bit of airflow if I went to YLs. Still considering picking some up though.

Got the two plus the one minus the shipping discount. Thanks OP. Never bought/installed fans before that weren't part of the case, but I'd like to quiet some of my builds down a bit. This should be fun!

i love YL's, they are relatively quiet.

i'm keeping this in my mind because i'm building a new computer. 🙂

It would have been nice if they mentioned on the site that the fans were sold out. I placed an order early on March 30th and never heard from them. Order status page showed nothing. I emailed them and found out today that they were already sold out when I placed the order. They said that they would be getting more in this week. I would be a little pissed if I were building this week or next week but since I am building a system after the price cuts (4/22) it does not bother me as much. I would have been annoyed as fan placement for me takes a lot of time since i like to build clean, sleeve the wires and need to attach to a fanbus. O well

yah, nexfan is known to be a little lacking in the communication dept but they've always come through for me.

Yes when I ordered from them before they didn't have much status report but the guys running the store are incredibly reasonable, I forgot to order screws so 2 days after I made the initial order I emailed them to add the screws and told them to charge me accordingly, but they said they already charged my credit card and they'll just include the 5 sets of screws for free. Just like that. When I got the order not only they gave me the 5 sets of screws they also gave me an extra 80mm grills. Couldn't be happier!

I still haven't received my order as well. Not really a huge deal since my build got postponed, gotta go to Hawaii for two weeks on short notice.

I emailed them a few days ago to ask if it shipped since I found out I was leaving town........no response. Normally id be ape $H!t by now but don't feel too stressed since its not holding up my new build.
