Nice find OP. Lowest shipping rate for me would be $5.91. A little high, but overall still a decent deal for some quiet fans.

I currently have a couple of 120mm Cooler Master fans running in my CM Mystique (solid alumnimum)... its pretty darn loud.

Would these cut down the noise a bit? Reviews show these to be some of the quietest performing fans, but on the SVC site, they're listed at 28dBA while pretty much every other fan (including my cool master) are in the low 20 or even sub 20 range. Why is that?

It's not necessarily the level of the sound, it's the quality of the sound just as much. And those dB specs can be taken with a grain of salt as they don't list the conditions (distance, ambient noise level, etc.). Look at Tt's dB ratings on some of their fans but only noobs and the other unaware buy Tt fans if they want quiet. While the Yate's are known to be quiet and give enough flow that you can turn 'em down and still have decent flow with even less noise (basically a Nexus at 1/5th of the price). And certainly no one sells a better fan for less than that.

You beat me to the nexfan link. ;)

Just for those curious about it, for every two fans you add to your order, nexfan will add the extra when they ship the fans. The extra fan(s) wont show in your cart, or order invoice, but they will be there when you open up your package. =D

Very nice deal @ nexfan, I only need 2, but hey, may as well cut a hole in the side panel and use it as an extra exhaust for the vid card.

vs.

Super Silent YATE LOON 120mm Case Fan D12SL-12
Real Silent, only 28 dB(A) High airflow level, 47 CFM

That for real? Like can anyone confirm those noise/flow rates, because if so those are the best fans I have ever seen. Even better than scythe fans. I am in for yate loons though. I don't need 17$ of flow, just 4 =)

Silen-X are crap. If they were worth a flip, a lot more resellers would carry them than do, dontcha think?

yeah, thats what I would have thought as well. The problem with db is you could technically make the reference sound intensity a jet engine, and end up with -20dB! when it really sounds like a truck engine. I went for the nextag deal, thanks
