Can I get a good starting area for normal? like something that will make it past the first 15 levels without losing something? I beat easy and it wasn't bad, but normal kicks my arse

Seems like they're patrolling the top scores and removing/blocking the obvious hacks. Cool! 🙂

Thoughts:
Upgrading Frost is worth it - the range bonus is significant for weaving paths, and it causes greater area of effect of slowing.

You'd be foolish not to upgrade Swarm for the ROF bonus and the huge splash radius. If two towers aren't taking down the two boss fliers on Normal, you need more Frost in the area to slow them down.

i really wasn't sure if upgrading frost would increase the slowdown speed, but i'd hope so

KILL TOMAS 😀

edit: looks like you're well on your way!! i just hit 72xx 🙂

I don't think it increases the slowdown amplitude. Duration, yes - area of units affected, yes. But I don't think it makes them any slower.

I keep wrecking on the waves of Flying unfortunately. Damned Frost towers won't lock onto the fliers, and they get through. Losing a life itself costs you about half the value of jump-starting a wave - but you also don't get the points for that kill. Plus, I lose bragging rights. 😉

ok the secret to normal was build your maze first, then upgrade the stuff in it 😛

worked for me anyway.. final score around 5309

I know not the best score here, but I'm proud I finished normal 😀

Folks, for those of you who still don't get it, you need to practice Creep Juggling.

Exhibit A.

Notice how both end bosses seem to be in a dead end. It wasn't a moment ago - I just sealed it off. But since they have another way to the exit - back the way they came - no block, no foul. They'll merrily march down to the bottom path - at which point, I reopen the top, close the bottom - and for the hefty cost of $4, they're off on another magical journey through Flavour Country. 😛

yes, you have to place and remove towers to make the boss creeps and the others as needed, go back and forth in front of your rows of guns until they are dead

march them back and forth, back and forth by changing the shortest route, put up a tower to block one path , then destroy the tower to open it and get the creeps the change their course, back and forth while your guns blow them up. this method makes the easy level super easy with just a few towers

Hahaha, good one.

Yeah, I figured out opening and closing right after I did my 5855 score and then realized I didn't want to spend that much effort to try to improve 😉

Brilliant! So simple yet...so effective. Why the hell didn't I think of that? Here I was thinking I was so good getting 5500 by only letting 3 creep leak...

5500 is still pretty good.

I'm going to shoot for a "no-juggle" high score next. 🙂

put ATOT in for your "group" name when submitting scores

and check out the "players mazes" tab and see what maps people are using

Finally I won on normal mode, 5600.

I can't figure out how the hell some of the leaderboards got such high scores, they must have somehow altered the game.

I think the secret to a high score is to make a maze with cheap guys, get really really really good air defense (since you can't juggle them)... and juggle everyone else.

Once your air defense is superb you can let like 5 waves in at once... just giving the air defense time to kill one wave of air before the next comes. I had 3 fully upgraded air only towers in the middle of the map (with frost near them) and only the boss air made it past.

That's my guess... I tried this and was only around 6000. I could have done better but I'm tired of it now 🙂

I got to the second last round on normal. Went with the guys that do the AoE splash damage. They just rocked everything as they came through. But they suck when it's jsut the 1 big boss man. And the second last boss group that is air I forgot about and they nailed me too.

I can't figure out how to beat the game on hard. I get stuck around level 47-48, where even a half dozen fully upgraded towers don't have enough strength to bring down those immune critters quickly enough 🙁
