Most definitely. Joining the dark side really ruins a guys chance of getting laid.

No, it was the Dark Side itself that made the Emperor look so old.

Vader was already beaten down by Luke. He was in no condition to withstand the lightning from the Emperor.
He was already dying.

He would've gone down with the Deathstar anyhow I suppose...

Episode III does a good job showing how/why Vader was so evil.

Not to mention that the lightning nearly killed him too. The lightning he got was when he was tossing the emperor. The intensity of that is 999999x stronger than Luke, whom the emperor was just playing with

Did a good job of showing him melting and burning in the fire. This movie sure wasn't for kids, which made it far better.

he isn't very hateful to obi wan in episode IV, I don't think episode III and IV mesh very well in showing anakin's personality changing into vader's

EPs 1-III sucked in terms of character development. Period! EPs IV-VI were far better in this respect.

There was NO chemistry between Anankin and Padme, so how does the audience understand his strong desire to save her via the Dark Side?

There's, like, 20 years between EPIII and EPIV.

yeah but i mean, if someone cut off your legs and left you to die like Obi Wan did, wouldn't you be a little bit more pissed even 20 years later, especially if you get your power from anger.

so father and son fight till the death?

You've never seen the movie?

Nope, let me refer you to here: This Thread (I dont know why it was locked)

Basically I'm 19, never watched star wars b4, and my friends dragged me to see episode 3 with them in the theatres, and I liked it. :)

Ok, I have a question, Anakin (Darth Vader) still loved his wife PADME after he went to the dark side of the force, did he NOT love his son after? Or did he just not love his son cause he wasnt on his side, so the situation made him hate him?

You need to watch the movie again, seriously.

I'm sure he meant Padme. It's a forgiveable slip, having only seen one of six films :)

But I do admit I nearly spit my drink all over my monitor when I read that line and pictured Anakin and Palpatine together, making sweet, sweet love.

No, because when you believe you're so much better than someone else you can't really hate them. Vader had complete confidence that he could kick the crap of ObiWan he didn't need to hate him.

Considering the huge gap in time between 3 and 4 we can't see Vader cool down and become the confident tyrant he was.
