I was just watching EP 1 and the whole thing about Anakin's birth came up. His mother said she didn't know who the father was and intimated she didn't have sexual relations with anyone to conceive Anakin.
Also, the analysis of Anakin's blood showed that he had more midichlorians in his blood than even the most powerful Jedi, and later it is mentioned that the midichlorians may have created him.
The we get to EP 3 where Darth Sideous mentions this:
PALPATINE: (continuing) Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis "the wise"?
ANAKIN: No.
PALPATINE: I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life ... He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying.
ANAKIN: He could actually save people from death?
PALPATINE: The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be
unnatural.
ANAKIN: What happened to him?
PALPATINE: He became so powerful . . . the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. (smiles) Plagueis never saw it coming. It's ironic he could save others from death, but not himself.
Now Sideous always mentioned how everything is going according to his plan and how he foresaw events happening. His entire plan from the beginning was to create the Empire which he would rule. If Plagueis taught him to influence the midichlorians just as he himself could, then did Sideous do that to create Anakin, his future apprentice Darth Vader?
Just wondering what the Star Wars geeks thought about this as nothing is really made clear about Anakin's birth.
BTW, I realize there is the stickied thread but that is about the latest movie release for opinions and reviews; this deals with Anakin's birth, which was revealed in EP 1.
