Already to S7:06 now. I'll soon be done with the DS9 rewatch...

I'm not looking forward to having to choose between TOS and Enterprise for my next Trek rewatch. They're all I have left. :(

I can't stand the way he talks. He puts emphasis on the wrong words all the time and inserts strange pauses, and it keeps making me say "WTF DID HE SAY IT LIKE THAT???!!!"
Avery Brooks can't act. :colbert:

Overall, I'd have to say that TNG is better than DS9. But this is like asking me to choose between Cool Ranch and Nacho Cheese. They're both good.

I'd say...
DS9 > TNG > Enterprise > Voyager > TOS

That order if I had to cherry pick a number of favorite episodes. If I had to take the entire run of the show in to account, it'd look like:

TNG > DS9 > Voyager > Enterprise > TOS

I really don't like TOS.

Is there any reason we have to rank Star Trek? TNG and DS9 were both great series for very different reasons, which is exactly what you want from a spin-off.

DS9 was the worst of his acting.
Go watch some of his movies. He's pretty damn good. American History X is a prime example.

He is an amazing actor and was as good as, if not better than patrick stewart for Trek. Janeway was as stiff as a board, and although I love Scott Bakula, he had to copy Kirk, which made for a pretty 1 dimensional character.

There is no need to rank them, other than to put Voyager last. TNG vs. DS9 is a matter of opinion, they were both great shows.

I thought DS9 was a pretty poor series, but that's a personal thing. I found the escapades concerning wormholes, Bajor, Cardassia and Odo/Kira to be incredibly boring. The extremely rare episodes revolving around Quark were all I could get into.

You are not alone, I liked it too. Not sure if I would rate it over DS9 or TNG but definitely a good show from the Franchise, all were good, I am fan of all 5.

I really started liking Voyager at the start of season 4, when 7 of 9 came aborg, I mean aboard. :whiste:

Voyager > TNG > Enterprise > DS9

Seven of Nine > T'Pol > Deanna > Dax

Hmmm...now this is an interesting topic...I'm going to say... Dax 1, Dax 2, and Kira(3rd season and beyond, hairstyle in first 2 seasons too masculine, I mean short is my favorite but come on) and Seven of Nine are all great, so not putting them in order. TNG doesn't let anyone have a real personality so I'm not even going to consider anyone from that series, and as far as I'm concerned Seven of Nine is at worst "cute emotionless" whereas T'pol is hot but is "destructive emotionless".

Yeah, I remember him in that movie and he was good in it.

WTF was up with his intonation as Sisko? It was all wrong and he stuck out like a sore thumb. D:

If I was just going to bend them over and have my way with them, I'd go:
T'Pol > Hoshi > Dax 1 > Kira > Seven of Nine > Dax 2 > Torres > Uhura > Janeway > Crusher > Yar > Riker > Troi > Polaski

If I actually had to have a relationship with them, I'd probably go:
Hoshi > Dax 1 > Janeway > Crusher > Dax 2 > Kira > Uhura > Torres > Yar > Crusher > Riker > Polaski > T'Pol > Seven of Nine > Troi

Riker is my cut off point. As soon as I'm cool with THAT, everything below it doesn't really matter.

The actress who played Pulaski was also a minor character in TOS, and she was pretty cute when she was young.

It's been at least a year since I've watched Babylon 5. I can't remember the exact episode, and I believe it was just an extra, and nobody of importance. I do remember it was Sheridan asking, so I know it wasn't in season 1. But I know that doesn't narrow anything down. :)

Going to flash some geek cred here: It was the episode called "Severed Dreams", where Sheridan announces to the staff in C&C that anyone was free to leave before they break Earth regulations. It's a pivotal episode where Babylon 5 has to commit to breaking from Earthdome and setting themselves against President Clark.

Right after that scene, shit starts hitting the fan. Excellent episode with some great space battle scenes.

SHE is the backup doc from TNG?? OMG!!! WOW!!!!
Yeah. Then the show's producers must have decided that TNG needed another McCoy, but a little different.
"I know! Slap a vagina on that character, and we're good to go!"

And that's the character we got: A female McCoy, complete with the nonhuman counterpart, Data.

*shudder*
