:( It does kind of look like that. I'll try for a better pic.

Only thing is, I dont see the violin shape they say is so obvious.

sometimes, it's not as obvious. it could be that it's an immature brown recluse or an immature hobo spider...

Here is another pic. This is the spiders underside, not the top as it seems. My camera is awful...sorry:(

edit:The white markings you see are actually on the spider and not from the light or flash

edit2:Also, I dont know if you can tell, but the palps on this spider are quite large and pronounced

edit3:Could this be it? Does it look similar to you guys? Text

edit4:Just found this link also. Does this look like it? Text

Here are several Pics I took of our infestation we had with the brown recluse.

Now they come in different colors as you can see in my tub from light tan to dark brown. The main thing you need to be sure of it whats on its back no matter what the color. If it has what looks to be a "fiddle" (take your pic of any I provided you can clearly see what I mean) then you have a brown recluse.

Our house few months ago was infested with them. We had a wasp problem in the attic and they decided to take care of them for me but in the process mutiplied like rabbits and thoes pics are what was in the tub, that day, and there was 9 of them. And that day we killed one in my 5 year olds room and my oldest killed one in the living room a few days before. Needless to so after I killed the ones in my sons room and then finding out it was a brown recluse and then my wife telling me she has been killing thoes same spiders for weeks in the tub I proceeded to move everyone out for the day and let of 8 bomb in the house and garage and so far havent found any more live ones just alot of dead ones (the poison keeps killing for 3 months after the bombing).

I have looked them up and they say they dont spin webs on some sites and others say they do so take your pick there. Now as far as the poison goes I found out sitting in the doctors office for the last 3 weeks that these things are common here and plently of people were coming in to get a shot. Turns out if you catch the bite fast enough that there is a shot that can be given that can either stop the poison from reacting with the flesh or atleast slow it down to give your body enough time to fight it off. This I was happy to hear and any sign of any bite of anything on us we will be going in right away for a shot and if you do have a brown recluse I would reccomend the same.

But for sure check out its back. its the only kind that has that so if it does then yes and if no, well, keep looking and see. And try if you can to take a better pic. You have it in a jar so squrit a little raid in there and kill it so you can take better pics (raid for wasps kills spiders, worked on the 9 in the tub).

Hope I was of some help and if it is buy some bombs and bomb the house good. No sense in paying a guy to come there. Just check the cans for one that says spiders. Just because the can says roach on it didnt mean thats all it will kill. I was amazed at what all it kills and my house is pest free of everythign. I have to rebomb the house in 4 more months to take care of any babies that may hatch but I will be damned if I am going to let some spiders rule me and my family out of our house.
