So then who is responsible for having children and teachers being gunned down in their classes on what's becoming a regular basis? Who are they that refuse to do a single thing to prevent these mass murders of our children? What bodies or organizations are united against preventing these horrifying acts from happening again?

As far as I know, for starters and among others, it's the Republicans in Congress and the folks that put them in office that consistently block anything from happening toward providing legislation that would mitigate or at least lessen in one way or another this senseless murdering of our children.

Their refusal to allow sensible laws to pass that will still allow the gun owners of the nation to keep their firearms yet be held more responsible for their possession is stubbornly stupid at the least and at worst for them to actually be held complicit with this senseless killing of our children.

I'm struggling to recall any other mass shooting events with a female shooter. There must have been at least one but no recollection.

Didn't one of the "big" shootouts with police in LA have a female shooter involved? Like one of the (sad that there's been multiple) ones with full body armor and shit?

I expect the % could always increase if things keep up the way they're going ...

Attend enough Board of Education meetings filled the "Loud majority" types flooding local government and you will be 0% surprised when those nutjobs lose it.
Their years of instigating others to violence are over.
They are hands on now.

Oh, I was referring to things like telling them what they can/can't do with their own bodies driving more women to flipping out and going postal. But they're not mutually exclusive.

I honestly just think we're heading down a really violent road for the society as a whole. But I gave up hope for anything positive when nothing was done after Sandy Hook. Big "fuck you" to Alex Jones.

Hell, about 30% of the people in this country think violence is acceptable if they don't get what they want in an election. That's what they think 2A rights are all about.

We really should just have a catch all thread for mass shootings since they happen so often.

The school is pre-K to 6th grade, so these victims were small kids. My son turned 8 yesterday and I couldn't imagine him not coming back from school one day because of this.

If only there was something that could be done to help prevent these shootings, something that other first world countries have figured out already...

EDIT:

Updated title to include the recent updates.

This is the catch all mass shootings thread...

My boss was at a restaurant and someone outside, about 100' away from their family started shooting. The parents froze for a second while their fucking HS kids yelled at them to get down, hide below the windows and over turn some tables. That we live in a world where kids are that much better trained to deal with active shooter events than their parents is just insanity

Democrats need to start punching harder by stating...

"Nothing will be done about school shootings until the public elects more Democrats. Republican block all efforts at gun safety/universal background checks".

BTW - Now that we have a new round of dead kids in school will Republicans double up on their AR-15 pins?

And yet we were all told how traumatizing it would be for kids to have to wear masks at school ... not a peep about how traumatizing constant active shooter drills can be.

Twitter is now full of right wing shit piles posting random trans profiles and claiming them to be the shooter. Fuck every last one of them.

I immediately thought this would happen and refrained from including it in an earlier post so that I didn't put it out there in the universe for these shit-bags to co-opt.
