Cliff notes: 59 in a 45 (8 lane street)

More info:

So I'm driving down w/ the flow of traffic, in the "slow" lane. The other three lanes have cars also, and are also going the same speed, accelerating also. I see a motocop hiding in the bushes and just coast along, while everyone else is still driving around 60-65. Everyone passes him, he doesn't move, I'm thinking "okay, what can he do now?". Pull into gas station at end of street ($1.98 for 87 oct), then while waiting, he pulls up behind me.

PO - "I'm blahblahblah from blahblahblah police dept. Do you know how fast you were going?"
OP - "Not as fast as those cars!"
PO - "But I'm pulling you over, and that's the difference."

Proceeds to hand me a ticket, and the court date is my birthday. Great!

He probably used radar. If so, you might be able to argue your way out of it since radar isn't too accurate if you're travelling with other cars next to you.

If he's going the same speed, though...it doesn't really matter which car was tagged 😛

Another vote for idiot.

Best thing to do when pulled over for speeding is to admit that your were speeding. This is assuming of course that you were. The police will usually put you in a lower bracket with a smaller fine or even let you off with a warning.

If your a smart ass of the other hand expect to take it up the ass.
