YASKT: Is it necessary to read 'The Regulators' before 'Desperation'?

I am trying to read Desperation in time for the mini-series in May.

I was wondering if it is necessary to read Regulators before Desperation.

I don't think so. I read Desperation and have never read The Regulators.

Nah, you can read them in either order. It's actually a little confusing reading them back to back like I did.
