I could have sworn cops carried other weapons such as a BATON or a TASER. If the suspect had no weapons, the cop should have used those instead. What this appears to be is a lack of situational training. It's ridiculous to accept that level of violence against and unarmed suspect.

You have to be trained and qualified to carry a baton. A lot of departments don't have the funding any more. Same for TASERS.

Not saying you should kill every person acting like a moron, but chasing a cop? I don't feel badly for the Darwin candidate.
