The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I take a look at my life and realize there's not much left
Cause I've been blastin' and laughin so long that
Even my ma'ma thinks that my mind is gone
But I ain't never crossed a man that didn't deserve it
Me, be treated like a punk, you know that's unheard of
You better watch how you talkin, and where you walkin
Or you and your homies might be lined in chalk
I really hate to trip, but I gotta loc'-
As they grew I see myself in the pistol smoke, fool
I'm the kinda G the little homies wanna be like
On my knees in the night
Sayin prayers in the street light

Been spending most our lives living in the Gangsta's Paradise
Been spending most our lives living in the Gangsta's Paradise
Keep spending most our lives living in the Gangsta's Paradise
Keep spending most our lives living in the Gangsta's Paradise

They got the situation, they got me facin'
I can't live a normal life, I was raised by the strip
So I gotta be down with the hood team
Too much television watchin' got me chasin' dreams
I'm an educated fool with money on my mind
Got my ten in my hand and a gleam in my eye
I'm a loc'ed out gangsta, set-trippin banger
And my homies is down, so don't arouse my anger, fool
Death ain't nuthin but a heart beat away
I'm livin life do-or-die-a, what can I say?
I'm twenty-three now, but will I live to see twenty-fow'?
The way things are goin' I don't know

Tell me why are we, so blind to see
That the ones we hurt, are you and me

Been spending most our lives living in the Gangsta's Paradise
Been spending most our lives living in the Gangsta's Paradise
Keep spending most our lives living in the Gangsta's Paradise
Keep spending most our lives living in the Gangsta's Paradise

Power and the money, money and the power
Minute after minute, hour after hour
Everybody's runnin, but half of them ain't lookin
What's goin on in the kitchen, but I dont know what's cookin
They say I got ta learn, but nobody's here to teach me,
If they cant understand it, how can they reach me?
I guess they can't; I guess they won't
I guess they front; that's why I know my life is outta luck, fool!

Been spending most our lives living in the Gangsta's Paradise
Been spending most our lives living in the Gangsta's Paradise
Keep spending most our lives living in the Gangsta's Paradise
Keep spending most our lives living in the Gangsta's Paradise

Tell me why are we, so blind to see
That the ones we hurt, are you and me
Tell me why are we, so blind to see
That the ones we hurt, are you and me

One God. Three components.
Christianity doesn't teach you can only obey or pray to one sub-entity. They are one and the same. They are united in will.

Hardly polytheism. Study up.

Jesus Christ = "The Word" of god

in Genesis, god the father spoke "the word" to create light (jesus is the action, the power, or the "construction worker" of god)

does that mean god talks to himself?

what a fuckin creepy guy

From a functional perspective I don't see how it makes much difference. Christianity could have one God or a different God for every divine appearance in the bible and you wouldn't have to change the content of the bible. I think the only reason that the trinity as a single entity concept is hammered home so relentlessly is to keep Christianity relatively unified, rather than splitting off into splinters that worship either the Father, The Son, or the Holy Spirit. It also has the added benefit of being a reliable starting point for teaching young minds the art of doublethink.

The Trinity is supposed to be the three faces of the same God. It's a duality. Each entity is the Trinity is an individual while at the same time being God himself.

It's stressed many times in religious studies that Jesus is the son of God while at the same time God himself.

It probably originated as a polytheistic idea to attract "pagan" followers, but was "adapted" into a monotheistic practice.

which makes no sense
but then again, it's god. It can do what it wants.

Sense is something that is contrary to religion.

It can be whatever it wants to be.

At least it gives people some hope for something at the end of their life.

You guys are thinking waaaaaaaaaaaaay too hard, why is it so hard to you guys to just accept jesus christ as your lord and savior? when you follow the lord, you wouldn't have to do so much thinking! how great would that be?

Sometimes I think... wouldn't it be great if I could remain blissfully ignorant and naive of the cold realities of life.

Then I think... that wouldn't be very fun. Life would even be less entertaining.

No thinking, just hate all other religions. They are unbelievers and must go to hell. If you're up to it, go ahead and ransack their cities, kill their people, and burn their libraries.

3 aspects of the same being, perfectly united.

If the concept seems baffling, think of how we consider our bodies to be individual bodies, and yet they are each composed of a trillion cells.

Or think of how a human being is considered to be mind and body, yet 1 person.

The biblical doctrine of the trinity is not one that is named such in the bible, but study of the bible shows that God acts and reveals Himself throughout scripture through the embodiment of His word, spirit, and mind (the father).

As humans made in the image of God (though we are corrupt), we are like Him in some regards.

I think of a time when Michelangelo was persecuted--and prosecuted--for dissecting human corpses, this "temple of the lord," because he wanted to learn more about muscle structure. Such practice was illegal, deemed an affront to godliness. He designed the dome that sits on the Pope's head (at St Peter's in Rome), created the greatest of all Religious and Christian works: La Pieta (1-3; 4 is...OK), The ceiling of the Sistine Chapel and the Last Judgment, Moses, David....yet was also considered, in the mind of the time, a heathen, for being curious about the human body.

Fascinating, isn't it...that one of the pioneers that lead the way to understanding the cell, the truth that we are countless numbers of cells (each one of them powered by an invasive, godless creature--a primeval bacterium), did so by performing acts of EXTREME hedonism, acts that would have seen him excommunicated and damned forever.

....but it seems now the godlike are all cool with it. not only that, they use this hedonistic knowledge to make new arguments for God! Hell, even Georges Lematrie, the original theorist of the Big Bang Theory, also a Catholic Priest, BRISTLED, when the Pope adopted this theory with open arms as PROOF of God.
"No," said Georges to the pope, "I may be a priest, good sir, but I must tell you to get your hands out of our science."

fucking amazing.

They give an inch, then take the rest back. Soon you'll be arguing how a steaming pile of shit explains perfectly the love of God for man, his greatest creation.

I have no idea of JW teachings, what does the trinity imply to them?

From some other christian observation, if the topic is what I'm thinking it is, some refer to it as the "Triune Spirit" in which the body, soul and spirit are all as one ultimately but working different aspects of each human being.
