I don't really know where to start...

People have suggested to me that my roommate is gay, I didn't really believe it since I suspected I would be one of the first people he'd tell, I'm an open person, I come from a VERY liberal family, I have gay friends, I went to an all guys school, stuff like that has never been an issue.

Well, today I confirmed it, through subtle and indirect means. It's not a bad thing, I don't mind, it's just that I can't believe he's told others and not me.

My feelings are kinda hurt.

I'm kinda confused too.

Weird.

he probably didn't tell you because a lot of guys wouldn't feel comfortable living with a gay roommate. he probably didn't want to cause any issues. and to be perfectly frank, if its not something he wants to talk about, then it shouldn't be an issue.

He's told alot of other people, it IS a subject he's comfortable with...

Your roomate doesn't have to be your bestest friend who tells you everything, people need their spaces and do not need to share anything.

Doesn't matter, but thanks for the insult none the less.... I had almost your exact situation, drove his car, used his computer, left all my stuff unlocked, let him borrow my car, etc. When I finally found out about I asked him why he didn't tell me and he said two reasons, A) he didn't trust me 'on that level' even though he knew I had gay friends, B) didn't want to complicate our friendship, it was easier to play along for him.

Just something to think about, asshat ;)

you do know there is a big difference between

"I won't think of him any less" and "I won't think any less of him".

the first one does make you sound a bit gay. ;)

and while we are on the topic of grammar.

WTF does "I don't know what to approach this."

either say, "I don't know HOW to approach this." or "I don't know what to MAKE of this".

sheesh.
