I've read through multiple posts for router recommendations and was hoping to get some answers for my specific scenario.
I live in an area that for whatever reason, seems to have A LOT of interference.
Cell phones are pretty much useless in my area and if it wasn't for the Airvana device sprint gave us, we probably wouldn't be able to use them period.
My current WiFi network (D-Link DGL-4500) seems to have problems as well making it to the living room and I had no issues with this device in a previous house in almost the exact same setup.
I was thinking about switching out the router for a "high power router:

but I wasn't sure if this would be good enough or if I should look at getting something like:

so I can add better antennas or something.
I have changed channel frequencies and saw no improvement what-so-ever.
I was also curious if there was a device or software I can load to help me figure out what causes such high interference. I was considering contacting the FCC to see if maybe I can get them involved in helping me figure out the interference issue but wasn't sure if it would be worth it.
What do you guys think?
